Run Expectancy 24
Runs added compared with what the base-out situation expected.
What it actually is. Run expectancy over 24 base-out states: credit for how much a player changed the runs his team could expect, given the bases and outs he walked into.
What a scout reads off it. The middle ground between raw stats and win probability. It respects situation without letting the ninth inning dominate everything, and it is the cleanest public way to look at what a reliever actually inherited and left behind.
