Putout
The fielder who records the out: the catch, the tag, the foot on the bag.
What it actually is. A putout: the fielder personally recorded the out by catch, tag or stepping on the base.
What a scout reads off it. Mostly a function of position rather than skill. First basemen and catchers lead these lists because of where the ball goes, not because of what they did with it.
