Strikeouts Per Nine Innings
Strikeouts per nine innings.
What it actually is. Strikeouts scaled to nine innings of work.
What a scout reads off it. Useful for comparing pitchers with different workloads and slightly dishonest, because a pitcher who allows a lot of baserunners faces more hitters per inning and gets more chances to strike somebody out. Strikeout rate per batter faced is the cleaner version.
