2026 College World Series
Oklahoma over North Carolina at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
What happened. Oklahoma won the 2026 College World Series, beating North Carolina in the final, under Skip Johnson. It was played at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, Omaha.
Where it sits. The 3rd for Oklahoma, and still the last one. The wait had been 32 years, which is most of a coaching career. North Carolina has never won one. Reaching the final is as close as that program has come. Won a regional at second-seeded Georgia Tech, then a road super regional at Kansas, then Omaha. They came in as unseeded at 43-23.
What the tournament looked like that year. Same path, but the championship becomes a best-of-three series. That format ran from 2003 through present.
The ballpark. Opened as TD Ameritrade Park and renamed in December 2021 after Schwab bought Ameritrade. Same building.
