2025 College World Series
LSU over Coastal Carolina at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
What happened. LSU won the 2025 College World Series, beating Coastal Carolina in the final, under Jay Johnson. It was played at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, Omaha.
Where it sits. The 8th for LSU, and still the last one. Their second in 2 years, so this was a program at the top of the sport rather than a program having a season. Coastal Carolina had already won one, most recently in 2016, and has not won one since.
What the tournament looked like that year. Same path, but the championship becomes a best-of-three series. That format ran from 2003 through present.
The ballpark. Opened as TD Ameritrade Park and renamed in December 2021 after Schwab bought Ameritrade. Same building.
