2023 College World Series
LSU over Florida at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
What happened. LSU won the 2023 College World Series, beating Florida in the final, under Jay Johnson. It was played at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, Omaha.
Where it sits. The 7th of 8 for LSU. Their previous title was 14 years earlier, in 2009. Florida had already won one, most recently in 2017, and has not won one since.
What the tournament looked like that year. Same path, but the championship becomes a best-of-three series. That format ran from 2003 through present.
The ballpark. Opened as TD Ameritrade Park and renamed in December 2021 after Schwab bought Ameritrade. Same building.
