2019 College World Series
Vanderbilt over Michigan at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
What happened. Vanderbilt won the 2019 College World Series, beating Michigan in the final, under Tim Corbin. It was played at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, Omaha.
Where it sits. The 2nd for Vanderbilt, and still the last one. Their previous title was 5 years earlier, in 2014. Michigan had already won 2 of them, most recently in 1962, and has not won one since.
What the tournament looked like that year. Same path, but the championship becomes a best-of-three series. That format ran from 2003 through present.
The ballpark. Opened as TD Ameritrade Park and renamed in December 2021 after Schwab bought Ameritrade. Same building.
