What happened. Oregon State won the 2018 College World Series, beating Arkansas in the final, under Pat Casey. It was played at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, Omaha.
Where it sits. The 3rd for Oregon State, and still the last one. Their previous title was 11 years earlier, in 2007. Arkansas has never won one. Reaching the final is as close as that program has come.
One out away. Arkansas needed one out to win the title in game two, and three players converged on a foul pop and let it drop. Oregon State scored, won that game, and won game three.
What the tournament looked like that year. Same path, but the championship becomes a best-of-three series. That format ran from 2003 through present.
The ballpark. Opened as TD Ameritrade Park and renamed in December 2021 after Schwab bought Ameritrade. Same building.
