1992 College World Series
Pepperdine over Cal State Fullerton at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium.
What happened. Pepperdine won the 1992 College World Series, beating Cal State Fullerton in the final, under Andy Lopez. It was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, Omaha.
Where it sits. Pepperdine has won the College World Series once, and this is it. Cal State Fullerton lost this one and won its own in 1995.
What the tournament looked like that year. Two four-team double elimination brackets, the winners meeting in a single championship game. That format ran from 1988 through 1998.
The ballpark. Sixty-one tournaments. The reason Omaha means what it means.
