1964 College World Series
Minnesota over Missouri at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium.
What happened. Minnesota won the 1964 College World Series, beating Missouri in the final, under Dick Siebert. It was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, Omaha.
Where it sits. The 3rd for Minnesota, and still the last one. Their previous title was 4 years earlier, in 1960. Missouri had already won one, most recently in 1954, and has not won one since.
What the tournament looked like that year. Eight teams, one pure double elimination bracket. The classic Rosenblatt format. That format ran from 1950 through 1987.
The ballpark. Sixty-one tournaments. The reason Omaha means what it means.
